AI agent for website developers

Localization Resource Integrity Agent

Every localized string keeps its placeholders and renders correctly.

Localization Resource Integrity Agent: what goes in, what the agent does and what you get

What it does

Translation files sometimes break placeholders. A '{name}' gets lost, translated or moved inside an escape sequence, causing crashes or garbled screens. When translation files are updated, this agent compares every string's placeholders with the source language. If a mismatch is mechanical and the correct position is unambiguous, such as a missing brace, it repairs it. If fixing it could change the meaning, it creates a task for a language reviewer. After repairs it renders UI fixtures to confirm strings display correctly, and revises any repair that renders wrong. The localization lead approves release. Edge case: in a German string the placeholder must move to a different position for grammar, so it goes to a reviewer.

How it works

Follow the arrows from top to bottom. The orange dashed arrow is the loop: when a check fails, the agent goes back and tries again.

How it decides

It repairs only unambiguous placeholders and reruns rendering checks.

  • Repair only mechanical, unambiguous mismatches.
  • Anything that may change meaning goes to a language reviewer.
  • Every repair must render correctly before release.

An example run

What happensA French update on September 3 had 2,410 strings. The agent found 17 placeholder mismatches. Twelve were missing braces and got repaired; five needed a reviewer. Rendering showed one repaired string overflowed a button because of a doubled placeholder, so the check failed. The agent revised the repair and re-rendered cleanly. The localization lead approved release on September 5.
