Google Search Console MCP server

by A1-x-Tech

Let your AI check your site's search performance, indexing, and sitemaps in Google Search Console.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Google Search Console. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI questions about how your website shows up in Google search, and it will look up the answers for you. It is handy for anyone who manages a website and wants quick answers without clicking around the Search Console screens.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Google Search Console, the free tool from Google that shows how your site performs in search. So when you ask about your site's search data, your AI can go and fetch it for you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question about your website's search performance. The AI sends that request to this helper. The helper talks to Google Search Console on your behalf. Then it brings the answer back and shows it to you in the chat. You can also ask it to check whether a specific page is indexed or to look at your sitemaps.

What you can do with it

  • Check how your site is performing in Google search
  • See which search queries bring people to your pages
  • Inspect whether a specific URL is indexed by Google
  • Look at your sitemaps and their status
  • Ask for a summary of your search traffic over a period

Try asking your AI

  • “How did my website perform in Google search last month?”
  • “Which search terms brought the most clicks to my site this week?”
  • “Is this page indexed by Google? https://example.com/my-page”
  • “Show me the sitemaps for my site and their status”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in plain language in the chat. That can be a summary of your search performance, a list of top queries or pages, a yes or no about whether a URL is indexed, or a list of your sitemaps. The AI may also show small tables or numbers if that makes things clearer.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Google account with access to Google Search Console
  • A website that is already set up in Search Console
  • Permission to connect your AI tool to Google (usually a sign-in step)

Good to know

It can read your Search Console data, so make sure you are comfortable sharing that access with your AI tool.

Install it with your AI

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
