Applyra MCP server

by applyra-io · official

Lets your AI check App Store and Google Play keyword ranks, scores, competitors and listing health for your apps.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Applyra, a service that tracks how your apps rank in the App Store and Google Play. Once it is connected, you can just ask your AI things like how a keyword is doing or what to fix in your app listing, and it will go and find out. It is handy for indie app developers and anyone doing App Store Optimization (ASO) who would rather chat than click around a dashboard.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Applyra, so it can look up your tracked apps, keyword ranks and scores, and even make small changes like adding a note or tracking a new keyword. You stay in the chat, and the AI does the looking up for you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question about your apps, like which keywords are ranking well or how a competitor compares. The AI passes that request to this helper, which talks to Applyra on your behalf. Applyra sends back the numbers, lists or audit results, and the AI turns them into a normal answer in your chat. Some actions also change things in your Applyra account, for example adding a keyword to track or writing a note on a day. You do not need to open the Applyra website to get the answer.

What you can do with it

  • Check the daily rank of any keyword you track
  • Score a keyword for difficulty and traffic before you use it
  • Run a full listing audit and see what to fix
  • Compare your visibility against a competitor app
  • See the top charts for a store, country and category
  • Mine autocomplete suggestions for new keyword ideas
  • Add a note about a campaign or metadata change and see what happened after

Try asking your AI

  • “How did my keyword ranks move this week?”
  • “Is the keyword 'habit tracker' worth targeting for my app?”
  • “Run an ASO health check on my app and tell me the top three things to fix”
  • “How do I compare to my competitor on the US App Store?”
  • “What are the top free apps in Health and Fitness in the UK right now?”

What it gives back to you

You get back plain answers in the chat: lists of keywords with their ranks and scores, a summary of a listing audit, a side-by-side comparison with a competitor, or a chart of top apps. When you ask it to change something, like adding a note or tracking a keyword, it tells you what it did. Everything is written in normal sentences, so you do not have to read raw data. If you asked for a history, you get the day-by-day numbers in a readable form.

Before you start

What you need

  • An Applyra account on the Unlimited plan
  • For the local setup: an Applyra API key from your dashboard (a kind of password for apps)
  • For the local setup: Node.js 20 or later installed on your computer
  • For the remote setup: nothing to install, you just sign in when your AI asks

Good to know

Some actions change your Applyra account, like adding or removing tracked keywords, notes and competitors, so ask your AI to confirm before it makes changes you did not intend.

Install it with your AI

Add Applyra MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Applyra MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
