SnapDeploy MCP server

by AAR-Labs

Let your AI deploy and manage your SnapDeploy apps, check logs, and set up databases and domains from chat.

SnapDeploy is a service that runs your apps in the cloud for you. This MCP server is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to SnapDeploy, so you can ask your AI to deploy an app or check on one without opening the SnapDeploy website. It is handy if you build small apps and want to skip the clicking around.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to SnapDeploy, the place where your apps actually run. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to do things in SnapDeploy for you, and it will use this helper to make it happen.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like "deploy this repo to SnapDeploy". Your AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper talks to SnapDeploy on your behalf, using a token you created on the SnapDeploy site. SnapDeploy builds and starts your app, and the helper brings the result back to your chat. You get a live web address for your app, or logs, or a status update, right there in the conversation.

What you can do with it

  • Deploy a GitHub repository as a running app and get a live URL
  • List your apps and check whether each one is running
  • Read the logs of a container to see what went wrong
  • Set environment variables (settings your app needs, like passwords for other services)
  • Create a managed database for your app
  • Add a custom domain to an app
  • Stop, start, or wake a container

Try asking your AI

  • “Deploy this repo to SnapDeploy”
  • “Show me my apps and which ones are running”
  • “Get the last 100 lines of logs for my api container”
  • “Create a Postgres database for my app and set the connection string as an environment variable”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in plain chat. Sometimes it is a list, like your apps with their status. Sometimes it is a block of log lines. After a deploy, you get a live web address you can click. It also tells you when something failed and why, in SnapDeploy's own words.

Before you start

What you need

  • A SnapDeploy account (sign in at snapdeploy.dev)
  • An API token from the API Keys page on SnapDeploy, with the deploy scope
  • Your app's code on GitHub, with GitHub connected to SnapDeploy once
  • An AI client that supports MCP, like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, or Gemini CLI

Good to know

This helper can start, stop, and change your apps and their settings, so use a token with only the permissions you are comfortable giving, and remember that deleting apps or cancelling your plan still has to be done by a person on the SnapDeploy site.

Install it with your AI

Add SnapDeploy MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check SnapDeploy MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
