NativeKeel MCP server
by AlicanAkyol
Lets your AI health-check a React Native or Expo app: upgrade blockers, store rules, crashes, security and accessibility.
NativeKeel is a health check for React Native and Expo apps. It looks at your project and tells you what will block the next upgrade, what might get your app rejected by the App Store or Google Play, what could crash it, and what security or accessibility problems are hiding in the code. It is handy if you work on a mobile app and want a clear, ordered list of what to fix before you ship.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a tool. This one connects your AI to NativeKeel, so when you ask about your React Native or Expo project, the AI can actually run the checks and read the results instead of guessing. You still ask in plain words; the helper does the looking.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what is wrong with my React Native app. The AI calls NativeKeel through this helper. NativeKeel reads your project files, checks your dependencies, store settings, security patterns and accessibility, and hands back a report. The AI then explains it to you in the chat, in order of what to fix first. It only reads your project; it never runs your app's code.
What you can do with it
- Check whether your app can upgrade to the newest React Native or Expo
- List the packages that block the upgrade and suggest replacements
- Flag store rejection risks like target SDK, permissions and privacy manifest
- Find crash risks such as mismatched library versions or missing Babel plugins
- Spot secrets, weak crypto and unsafe network settings in your code
- Point out accessibility gaps like buttons with no label or low contrast text
- Turn all findings into an ordered upgrade plan
Try asking your AI
- “What is wrong with my React Native app and what should I fix first?”
- “Can I upgrade this project to the latest Expo SDK, and what is blocking me?”
- “Which packages in my app are unused or unmaintained?”
- “Does my app have any security or accessibility problems I should know about?”
What it gives back to you
You get back a structured report: a summary count of critical, high, medium and low findings, then a short start-here list with file and line numbers. It also groups findings by area like upgrade, store, crashes, security and accessibility. In the chat, your AI turns this into a plain explanation and an ordered to-do list.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer (the tool runs with npx)
- A React Native or Expo project folder on the same machine
- An MCP-capable AI client such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or VS Code
Good to know
It reads your project files, including secrets and keys that may be in the code, so treat the report as sensitive and do not paste it somewhere public.
Install it with your AI
Add NativeKeel MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check NativeKeel MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
React Native and Expo developers, mobile team leads, and anyone who has to keep a mobile app passing store reviews and upgrades.
