Anythink MCP server
Lets your AI manage your Anythink backend: data, users, workflows, search and payments.

Anythink is a service that gives you a ready-made backend for an app, meaning the behind-the-scenes part that stores your data and handles logins. This MCP server connects your AI assistant to your Anythink projects so it can look things up and make changes there for you. It is handy if you build or run an app on Anythink and want to skip a lot of clicking and typing.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case a connection to Anythink. Once it is set up, your AI can talk to your Anythink projects and do real things there, like list your data or create a record. You just ask in normal words, and the helper carries it out.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about your Anythink project, like what records are in a table or how many users you have. The AI passes that request to this helper program, which talks to Anythink on your behalf. Anythink sends back the answer, and the helper hands it to your AI. Your AI then shows it to you in the chat, as a list, a table or a short summary. If you ask it to change something, the helper makes that change in Anythink.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- List the entities (tables) in a project and see their fields
- Look up, create, update or delete records in your data
- Run a full-text search across your entities
- List and trigger automation workflows
- Check users, roles and API keys
- Look at files and payment settings
- Check your projects and billing accounts
Try asking your AI
- “List the entities in my Anythink project and tell me what fields each one has”
- “Show me the last 10 records in the orders table”
- “Search my posts for anything mentioning pricing”
- “Create a new record in blog_posts with the title Hello World and status draft”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain chat: lists of entities or records, tables of data, search results with matching text, and short summaries. When it changes something, it tells you what it did, like which record it created or updated. Numbers like counts and page totals come back too. Everything shows up right in the conversation, so you do not have to open another tool.
Before you start
What you need
- An Anythink account (you can sign up from the command line)
- The Anythink CLI and MCP server installed, usually with Homebrew
- A project set up and connected on your computer
Good to know
It can change or delete your data and records, so be careful with requests that update or remove things.
Install it with your AI
Add Anythink MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Anythink MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Developers and founders who run an app on Anythink and want to manage their backend by just asking their AI.
