Daimonos MCP server
by beardfaceguy
Gives your AI coding helper shorter, tidier answers when it reads files, runs commands, or uses git.

Daimonos is a helper program for AI coding assistants. It sits between your assistant and your computer, so when the assistant reads a file or runs a command, it gets back a short, clean answer instead of a wall of terminal text. It is handy for developers who use an AI assistant to write and test code and want it to be quicker and cheaper.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something else. Daimonos is that helper for your coding tools: it lets your AI read files, search code, run commands, and work with git on your machine. When you ask your AI to do something, it asks Daimonos, and Daimonos does the actual work and hands back a tidy result.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI assistant to do something, like run your tests or check what changed in your project. The assistant passes that request to Daimonos. Daimonos runs the command or reads the file on your computer. Then it sends back a short, structured answer, such as "47 tests passed, 0 failed" instead of hundreds of lines of output. Your assistant reads that short answer, saves it, and tells you what happened.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Read and write files in your project
- Search your code for words or patterns
- Run commands like tests and builds, and get short summaries
- Check git status, log, diff, and branches
- Create and view pull requests with the gh tool
- Check Docker containers and logs
- Batch several small actions into one request
Try asking your AI
- “Run the tests and tell me only which ones failed.”
- “Show me the git status in a short form.”
- “Search the project for where we handle login.”
- “Check if any Docker containers are running and show me their names.”
What it gives back to you
You get short, structured answers in your chat. For example, instead of a long test log you see a small summary like "47 passed, 0 failed". File reads come back as text, searches come back as a list of matches, and git or Docker checks come back as a compact list. If a file has not changed since last time, it just says so, which saves space.
Before you start
What you need
- A Mac or Linux computer (Windows is not supported yet)
- An AI coding tool that can use MCP servers, such as Cursor, Zed, or Claude Code
- The daimonos program installed on your computer
Good to know
It can change and delete files and run commands on your computer, so only connect it to projects you trust and check what your AI is about to do.
Install it with your AI
Add Daimonos MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Daimonos MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
