ifc-ruhsat: Türkiye building-permit checker
by BerkantACUN
Check an IFC building model against Türkiye's permit BIM regulation and fill in the 21-row Annex-9 quality form.
This is a helper for people who have to hand in a building-permit model in Türkiye. It reads your IFC file and tells you, in plain findings, where the model does not match the new BIM regulation. It is handy for architects, BIM coordinators and anyone preparing a permit submission.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill. This helper connects your AI to the ifc-ruhsat checker, so the AI can read an IFC file and run the regulation checks for you. You ask in normal words, and the AI uses this helper behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You point your AI at an IFC file, either by giving a file path or by pasting the IFC text. The AI passes it to this helper. The helper reads the model and runs the regulation rules: required IFC 4.3 classes, category codes, naming templates, coordinate system, attributes and property sets. It comes back with a list of findings, each tied to an article and an annex table, with the GlobalIds of the elements involved. It can also produce the 21-row Annex-9 quality-control form as a Markdown file.
What you can do with it
- Check an IFC model against the regulation and get a list of errors and warnings
- See which article and annex table each finding comes from
- Get the GlobalIds of the elements that need fixing
- Generate the 21-row Annex-9 model quality-control form
- Ask which attributes and property sets a given IFC class needs
- List the mandatory and optional IFC classes with their Turkish names and category codes
- Get a short summary of the model: schema, software, project, site, building, storeys and class counts
Try asking your AI
- “Does C:\proje\A_blok.ifc comply with the regulation? Produce the Annex-9 form.”
- “Which properties are mandatory for IfcSlab?”
- “Why are there errors on the columns, and under which article?”
- “Give me a summary of this IFC model: schema, software and class counts.”
What it gives back to you
You get a list of findings in the chat. Each finding has a level (error, warning, manual check or info), the article and annex table, the Annex-9 row, and the GlobalIds of the affected elements. You can also ask for the Annex-9 form as Markdown, with Yes, No, Partly or Manual on each row and the reason. Rows a machine cannot verify are marked as manual, never as passed.
Before you start
What you need
- Python 3.10 or newer, or the uv tool so you can run uvx
- An MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor
- An IFC file to check
Good to know
This is an automated pre-check, not legal advice; rows it cannot verify are marked as manual, and the final decision belongs to the project author and the authority.
Install it with your AI
Add ifc-ruhsat: Türkiye building-permit checker to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check ifc-ruhsat: Türkiye building-permit checker, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
