BlazingCDN MCP server
by BlazingCDN · official
Let your AI check your CDN traffic, purge cache and manage domains for you.

This is the official helper that connects your AI assistant to BlazingCDN, a service that delivers large files like videos, games and software updates to your users quickly. Once connected, you can just ask your AI in plain words what is happening on your CDN or tell it to clear the cache. It is handy if you run a site or app that serves big files and you already have a BlazingCDN account.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to BlazingCDN, so it can look up your traffic numbers, clear the cache or set up a domain for you when you ask. You do not need to learn any new tool; you just talk to your AI like you always do.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about your CDN, like how much traffic you had this month or whether a file is cached. The AI sends that request to this helper, and the helper talks to BlazingCDN using your API token. BlazingCDN sends back the answer, and the helper hands it to the AI, which explains it to you in the chat. If you have allowed changes, the helper can also make updates for you, like purging the cache or adding a custom domain.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Check your bandwidth, requests and cache hit rate for any period
- Purge the cache for a whole site or for specific URLs
- Warm up files so they are ready in the cache before users ask for them
- See HTTP error rates broken down by region or domain
- List and manage your custom domains and their SSL settings
- Look at your cloud storage buckets and Video CDN resources
- Estimate what a given monthly traffic volume would cost on BlazingCDN
Try asking your AI
- “What's my CDN bandwidth this month, broken down by day?”
- “Purge /images/* on the blazingcdn.com resource”
- “Show HTTP 5xx rates for the last 24 hours per region”
- “How much would 190 TB per month cost on BlazingCDN?”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat: numbers, lists, tables or short summaries. For example, it might show you a day-by-day breakdown of your bandwidth, or a list of your custom domains with their SSL status. If you asked it to purge the cache, it tells you whether the purge was accepted. It does not send you files; it just reports what it found or what it changed.
Before you start
What you need
- A BlazingCDN account (new accounts start with a 14-day trial)
- An API access token from the BlazingCDN panel (a kind of password for apps; you create it in the API section)
- A balance of at least $10 on your account so it does not go negative while you test
- The Claude desktop app, Claude Code, Cursor or another AI tool that supports MCP servers
Good to know
By default it can only read and purge cache, but if you turn on the write or delete flags it can change or remove CDN settings, so only enable those if you are comfortable with the AI making changes.
Install it with your AI
