Let your AI create Mercado Pago payment links, look up payments, and issue refunds for you.

CobroYa is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Mercado Pago, the popular payment service in Latin America. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI in plain words to create a payment link, check a payment, or send a refund. It is handy for small merchants, freelancers, and anyone who sells online and wants to skip clicking around the Mercado Pago dashboard.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Mercado Pago, so when you ask for a payment link or a list of today's payments, the AI can actually go and do it for you. You just talk, and the helper does the clicking.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like "create a payment link for 5000 pesos for a Python course". The AI passes that request to CobroYa. CobroYa talks to Mercado Pago using your access token. Mercado Pago creates the checkout link and sends it back. CobroYa hands the link to your AI, and your AI shows it to you in the chat so you can share it with your buyer.

What it gives back to you

You get answers right in the chat. For a payment link, you get a URL you can copy and share with your buyer. For searches, you get a list of payments with their status and amounts. For refunds, you get a confirmation that the refund was issued.

A Mercado Pago account
A Mercado Pago access token (a kind of password for apps; you get one from the Mercado Pago developer site)
The Claude desktop app or another AI tool that supports MCP servers
Node.js installed on your computer if you use the npx command
