BoltPatternHQ MCP server
by double2dev
Lets your AI look up real wheel fitment specs like bolt pattern, center bore, and offset for popular cars.
This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to a library of car wheel fitment facts. It is handy if you work with wheels, tires, or car parts and want correct numbers instead of guesses. You do not need to be a programmer to use it, you just need to add it once.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to BoltPatternHQ, a reference library of car wheel fitment data. Once it is connected, your AI can look up specs there for you when you ask.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about a car's wheel fitment, like the bolt pattern or center bore. Your AI sends that question to this helper. The helper looks through a built-in sample library of popular cars from Japan, Europe, and America. It finds the matching specs and sends them back. Your AI then shows you a clear answer in the chat.
What you can do with it
- Look up the bolt pattern for a car by make, model, or year
- Find the center bore size in millimeters
- Check the offset range and thread size for lug nuts
- Search by an exact PCD string like 5x114.3
- List all car brands and models in the sample library
- Export the sample data as JSON for your own tools
Try asking your AI
- “What is the bolt pattern for a Suzuki Jimny?”
- “Show me the wheel specs for a Mazda MX-5 Miata.”
- “Which cars in the library use a 5x114.3 bolt pattern?”
- “List all the makes and models you have data for.”
What it gives back to you
You get back a short fitment report with the bolt pattern, center bore, offset range, and thread size for the car you asked about. Sometimes it also adds notes about the hub or lug seat type. If you ask for a list, you get a tidy overview of makes and models. If you ask for the sample data, you get a block of structured text you can copy into another tool.
Before you start
What you need
- The Claude desktop app, Cursor, VS Code, or another app that supports MCP servers
- Node.js installed on your computer (the free program that runs npx)
Good to know
This server only covers a small sample library of cars, so it may not have your exact vehicle, and the full commercial dataset is a separate paid download.
Install it with your AI
Add BoltPatternHQ MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check BoltPatternHQ MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who work with wheels, tires, or car parts, like shop staff, e-commerce sellers, and hobbyists who want correct fitment numbers.
