AppFactory MCP server
by gbatistuta0
Helps your AI take an iOS app idea from research to a TestFlight build, with your approval at each step.
AppFactory is a helper for AI coding agents that walks an iOS subscription app from idea to TestFlight. It checks the idea against real App Store data, builds a SwiftUI app, sets up the backend and the store, and stops whenever it needs you. It is handy for solo developers and small teams who want a head start on shipping an app.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. AppFactory is that helper for building iOS apps: it connects your AI to App Store data, Xcode, Supabase, App Store Connect and RevenueCat so the AI can look things up and do things there when you ask. You stay in control because anything irreversible waits for your approval.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to run AppFactory. The AI follows the playbook that AppFactory serves, stage by stage: idea, design, app, backend, store, launch assets, ship. At each stage it uses AppFactory's tools to talk to the right service, for example pulling App Store data to score a niche or scaffolding a SwiftUI project. When a stage finishes, checks must pass before the AI can move on. If something needs you, the run stops with a clear note telling you what to do.
What you can do with it
- Check whether an app idea has real demand using live App Store data
- Scaffold a SwiftUI iOS app with onboarding, paywalls and settings
- Set up a Supabase backend with auth and usage limits
- Create App Store Connect subscriptions and RevenueCat offerings
- Generate localized metadata, ASO keywords and screenshots
- Build, archive and upload a TestFlight build
- Pause for your approval before anything irreversible
Try asking your AI
- “Run AppFactory and validate this idea: a habit tracker for new parents”
- “Set up AppFactory and tell me which keys are missing”
- “Scaffold the SwiftUI app for the idea we just validated”
- “Prepare the App Store metadata and screenshots for this app”
What it gives back to you
You get back plain answers and files in your chat: niche scores, a design brief, a generated SwiftUI project, backend setup steps, store configuration and launch assets. When a stage needs you, it returns a NEEDS_HUMAN.md note explaining what to do. Irreversible actions wait until you run appfactory approve in your own terminal, so you see exactly what will happen before it does.
Before you start
What you need
- A Mac for the build and TestFlight steps (research works anywhere)
- uv installed (brew install uv)
- Xcode and other tools only for the services you turn on
- Keys for the services you enable, set as environment variables on the MCP entry
Good to know
It can change or delete things in your App Store Connect, backend and repos, so irreversible actions wait for your approval in your own terminal.
Install it with your AI
Add AppFactory MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check AppFactory MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,361 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Solo iOS developers, indie makers and small teams who want an AI agent to help ship a subscription app without giving up control.
