TikTok MCP server
by HasData
Lets your AI look up public TikTok profiles, videos, comments and search results for you.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to public TikTok data. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI about a TikTok account, its videos, or the comments on a video, and it will go and fetch that information for you. It is handy for anyone who needs to check or research TikTok without scrolling the app by hand.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to public TikTok data, so when you ask about a creator or a video, the AI can actually go and look it up instead of guessing. You stay in your normal chat window, and the helper does the fetching behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about TikTok, like how many followers an account has or what people are saying in a video's comments. Your AI passes that request to this helper. The helper talks to TikTok's public data and brings back the answer as structured information. Your AI then reads that information and explains it to you in plain words, or puts it into a list or a summary. You never have to open TikTok or copy anything by hand.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Look up a public TikTok profile by username
- See an account's recent videos, newest first
- Read the comments on a public video
- Expand the replies under a specific comment
- Search TikTok for videos by keyword
- Search TikTok for creators by keyword
- Rank creators or videos by followers or play counts
Try asking your AI
- “Look up the TikTok profile for mrbeast and tell me how many followers they have”
- “Pull the first page of videos from that account and give me the median play count”
- “Here is a TikTok video link. Read the top comments and tell me the overall mood”
- “Search TikTok for creators around cold brew coffee and list the top ten by followers”
What it gives back to you
You get back answers in your chat: profile details like follower counts and bio, lists of videos with their play and like numbers, comments with their text and likes, or search results. Your AI can turn these into a short summary, a ranked list, or a table if you ask. The numbers come as real numbers, so your AI can compare and sort them for you. Everything shows up right where you are chatting.
Before you start
What you need
- An MCP client like Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Windsurf
- A HasData API key, free to create on their dashboard (a kind of password for apps)
- For some clients, Node.js or Python installed so the small launcher can run
Good to know
It only reads public data and never signs in or posts, but each call uses credits from your HasData account, so wide searches can add up.
