Hermoso is an ad studio that your AI assistant can use directly. Once it is connected, you can ask your AI to look at what ads competitors are running, or to make you a finished image or video ad with a script, voiceover and music. It is handy if you run marketing for a small business or handle ads for clients and want to skip a lot of manual clicking.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app, and here that app is Hermoso. When you ask for something ad related, your AI passes the request to Hermoso, Hermoso does the work, and the result comes back into your chat. You do not need to understand how it works under the hood, you just talk to your AI like normal.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI for something, like a competitor ad review or a new video ad. Your AI sends that request to Hermoso through this connection. Hermoso then does the actual work: it searches the Meta, Google or LinkedIn ad libraries, or it runs an AI model to create an image, a video or an avatar ad with copy and a call to action. When it is done, the result comes back into your chat, usually as a link to the finished file or a summary of what it found. You can also use it to publish or schedule posts and to build and manage ad campaigns, though connecting your own accounts still needs a quick sign in.

What it gives back to you

You get answers in your chat, like a list of competitor ads with links, or a summary of what was found. For generated ads, you get a link to the finished image, video or avatar file that you can download or publish. For campaigns, you get confirmation of what was created or changed, plus numbers and insights when you ask for them. Everything stays in the conversation, so you can ask follow up questions right away.

Before you start

What you need

A Hermoso account (free tier is available, paid plans for AI generation and Ad Spy research)
Sign in once with your Hermoso account, or an API key from the MCP & CLI tab in your Hermoso settings
A connected social or ad account if you want to publish or manage campaigns (this step needs a browser sign in)

Good to know

Generating ads and running Ad Spy research spend credits, which cost real money, and publishing or campaign tools can change things on your live social and ad accounts, so check what your AI is about to do before you approve it.
