ClipUGC MCP server
by clipugc · official
Make short vertical UGC videos for your app with an AI influencer who keeps the same face in every clip.
ClipUGC makes short vertical videos for mobile apps, the kind you see on TikTok or Reels. It uses an AI influencer whose face stays the same from video to video, and it drops your app's screen recording into the finished clip. This MCP server lets your AI assistant create those influencers, looks and videos for you, just by asking in plain words.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to ClipUGC, so when you ask for a video, the AI passes the request along and brings the result back to you. You don't need to learn any commands; you describe what you want and the AI does the rest.
What this MCP server does
You tell your AI something like make a short video for my habit tracker app. The AI uses this helper to create an AI character from your description, then generates a few looks of that same person in different settings. It animates one look into a short silent reaction clip, then adds your app's screen recording and a text hook on top. When it's done, you get a finished vertical video ready to post, and the AI can tell you how many credits each step used.
What you can do with it
- Create an AI influencer from a written description
- Generate new looks of the same face in different settings and outfits
- Turn a look into a short silent reaction clip
- Add your app screen recording and a text hook to finish the video
- Check how many credits you have left
- List your existing characters and images
- Download the finished video to your computer
Try asking your AI
- “Make a TikTok video for my habit tracker app using a friendly blonde influencer”
- “Create an AI influencer for a fitness account, a woman in her twenties with a natural look”
- “Give me five hook ideas for a budgeting app video”
- “How many credits do I have left?”
What it gives back to you
You get back finished videos, plus lists of your characters, looks and clips with their status. The AI shows you the details in the chat and can download the finished video file for you. It can also report credit costs and your remaining balance. Generation takes a little time, so the AI checks back until each piece is ready.
Before you start
What you need
- A ClipUGC account (the free plan works with the hosted server)
- An AI app that supports connectors, like Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or Gemini CLI
- For the local version only: Node.js 20 or newer and a ClipUGC API key from your dashboard (paid plans)
Good to know
Generating images and clips uses credits that cost money on paid plans, so check your balance before making lots of videos.
