Clipwright makes short vertical videos without you filming anything. You tell your AI assistant what the actor should say, and it comes back with a clip you can post on TikTok, Reels or Shorts. It is handy if you make ads, run a small business, or post social videos but do not want to be on camera.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. Here it connects your AI to Clipwright, so it can check prices, pick an actor and voice, and start a video render for you. You just ask in plain words, and the helper does the work behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You tell your AI what you want, for example an actor saying a short ad line, or a faceless video from a script. The AI uses this helper to ask Clipwright for a free price quote first. Once you say yes, it starts the render and Clipwright makes the video. When it is done, your AI gets a link to the finished file. Clipwright only makes the video, it does not post it anywhere for you.

- A Clipwright account (signing up gives you 420 free trial credits)
- An API key from app.clipwright.io/api-keys (a kind of password for apps; the site gives you one)
- Node.js 20 or newer on your computer
- An MCP host like Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or Cline
