x-use MCP server

by ihuzaifashoukat

Let your AI post, reply, and search on X (Twitter) through a real browser, with drafts you approve first.

x-use is a helper that lets your AI work with X (Twitter) for you. It drives a real Chrome browser that is already logged in, so it does not need a paid X developer key. It is handy if you manage one or a few X accounts and want your AI to help write, reply, and keep an eye on things.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to X (Twitter), so it can look things up and prepare posts there when you ask. You add it once to your AI app, and then you just talk to your AI like normal.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like 'find recent posts about our topic' or 'draft a reply to this tweet'. Your AI uses x-use behind the scenes, and x-use opens a real Chrome session that is logged in to your X account. It searches, reads, or prepares the post for you. By default, anything that would change your account is turned into a draft first, so nothing goes live until you say yes.

What you can do with it

  • Search X for tweets by keyword or by profile
  • Draft a new post and hold it for your approval
  • Prepare a reply to a specific tweet
  • Queue posts and engagement to run later, with daily limits
  • Check account health, metrics, and what is waiting in drafts
  • Manage several X accounts, each with its own settings
  • Add and test proxies for each account

Try asking your AI

  • “Search X for recent tweets about our product name and show me the top ten”
  • “Draft a short post about our new blog article, in our usual voice”
  • “Prepare a friendly reply to this tweet and put it in drafts”
  • “Show me everything waiting for approval and the queue for today”

What it gives back to you

You get back plain answers in the chat: lists of tweets with links and text, short summaries, and the exact text of any draft it prepared. It also shows counters like how many actions ran today and whether an account looks healthy. If you approve a draft, it tells you the post went out. Nothing changes on X until you approve it.

Before you start

What you need

  • Python 3.10 or newer
  • Google Chrome installed on your computer
  • An MCP client like Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf
  • Cookies exported from a browser where you are logged in to your X account

Good to know

It can post, reply, like, and repost on your real X account, and browser automation of X carries a real risk of your account being limited or suspended, so keep draft mode on and the daily limits low.
