JidoSeal MCP server

by Jidoseal

Lets your AI scan a folder of Markdown notes and tell you which frontmatter fields are missing.

JidoSeal is a small helper you add to your AI assistant so it can check a folder of Markdown notes on your own computer. It reads the little info block at the top of each note and tells you what is missing. It is handy if you keep a pile of notes, docs or policies and want them tidy and consistent.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one new skill or one new connection. This one connects your AI to a folder of Markdown files on your machine. Once it is added, you can just ask your AI to check that folder.

What this MCP server does

You point it at a folder, for example your notes folder. Your AI uses this helper to open each Markdown file in that folder and read the info block at the top. The helper checks which fields are filled in and which are empty, and works out a level for each file and for the whole folder. Then you get a clear list back in the chat: what level you reached and exactly which fields are missing. It does not change your notes.

What you can do with it

  • Scan a folder of Markdown notes and see the overall level
  • See which files are holding the folder back from the next level
  • Get a per-file list of missing fields
  • See a simple score from 0 to 100 for the folder
  • See the share of files that reach each level
  • Ask what optional certification would cost before deciding anything

Try asking your AI

  • “Scan my notes folder with JidoSeal and tell me what is missing for Silver.”
  • “Which files in ~/docs are stopping us from reaching Gold?”
  • “Give me the per-file missing fields for the mixed examples folder.”
  • “What would certification cost for this folder, and what facts would a purchase send?”

What it gives back to you

You get a plain answer in the chat: the folder level (none, Bronze, Silver or Gold), a score from 0 to 100, and how many files reach each level. For each file it lists the missing fields for the next level, and marks each one as something JidoSeal can suggest or something only the owner can answer. If a file's info block is broken, it tells you that and says it must be fixed by hand.

Before you start

What you need

  • Python 3.9 or newer
  • The jidoseal-mcp helper installed on your computer (a single install command)
  • An AI tool that supports MCP servers, such as Claude Desktop or Cursor
  • A folder of Markdown files you want to check

Good to know

The scan only reads your notes and writes two small files in a hidden .jidoseal folder, but the checkout tool sends your company, name, email and a few scan details to jidoseal.com when you confirm it, so only use that if you mean to.

Install it with your AI

Add JidoSeal MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check JidoSeal MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,361 MCP servers here for you.
