by jjlabsio

Lets your AI look up Korean stock prices, company disclosures, and financial statements for you.

This is a helper that connects your AI to official Korean stock data. It pulls from DART (the electronic disclosure system) and KRX (the Korea Exchange), so your AI can answer questions about listed Korean companies. It is handy if you follow Korean markets, work in finance, or need to check a company's filings and numbers.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to Korean stock data from DART and KRX. Once it is set up, you can just ask a question in plain words, and the AI will go fetch the real data for you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like how a Korean company did last year. The AI uses this helper to search the official DART and KRX data. The helper looks up the company, finds the right disclosures or financial statements, and pulls the numbers. Then the AI reads that data and explains it back to you in the chat. For very large reports, it first shows a table of contents and then fetches only the parts that match your question.

What you can do with it

  • Search Korean company disclosures by company, type, or date
  • Look up a company's unique DART code by name or stock code
  • Read financial statements like revenue and operating profit
  • Check daily stock prices, trading volume, and market cap
  • Find basic stock info like name, code, and market (KOSPI, KOSDAQ, KONEX)
  • Open a disclosure report and pull out a specific section
  • Check today's date so the AI uses the right time frame

Try asking your AI

  • “Look up Samyang Foods revenue and operating profit for 2023 and 2024 and tell me the growth rate”
  • “What does HJ Shipbuilding actually do to make money, and what is the sales by segment”
  • “Show me the daily stock price and market cap for a KOSDAQ company last month”
  • “Find the corp_code for Inventera and list its securities issuance disclosures”

What it gives back to you

You get answers written in the chat, built from real DART and KRX data. That can be a list of disclosures, a table of financial numbers, stock price and volume figures, or a summary of a report section. For big reports, the AI first shows you a table of contents and then the section you asked about. You can keep asking for more sections if you are curious.
