This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your personal WhatsApp account. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to find old messages, check what someone last said, or send a message on your behalf. It is handy if you spend a lot of time in WhatsApp and want to search or reply without scrolling through chats by hand.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This one connects your AI to your own WhatsApp account, so it can look things up there or do things for you when you ask. You stay in control: the AI only touches your WhatsApp through the tools you allow.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about your WhatsApp, like finding a message or sending a note to a friend. The AI uses this helper, which talks to a small program running on your computer that is linked to your WhatsApp account. That program keeps a local copy of your chats in a file on your machine, and it can also send new messages and files through WhatsApp. You get the answer or the confirmation back in your chat with the AI.
