Pingfyr is a service that sends out reminders and notifications for you at a time you choose. This MCP server connects your AI assistant to Pingfyr, so you can just tell your AI things like "remind the team on Slack every Monday at 9" and it sets that up for you. It is handy for anyone who wants reminders to actually go out on their own, without you remembering to send them.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to Pingfyr, a scheduled delivery service. Once it is connected, your AI can create, list, change, and cancel reminders inside Pingfyr when you ask it to.

What this MCP server does

You tell your AI what you want to be reminded about, when, and where it should go. Your AI passes that along to this helper, and the helper talks to Pingfyr. Pingfyr then holds onto the reminder and sends it out at the right time through the channel you picked, such as email, Slack, Discord, Telegram, a webhook, OpenClaw, or Google Calendar. You can also ask your AI to show you your reminders, change one, or cancel one.

What you can do with it

  • Schedule a reminder to fire at a specific date and time
  • Send reminders to email, Slack, Discord, Telegram, webhooks, OpenClaw, or Google Calendar
  • Set a reminder to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or on a custom schedule
  • List your reminders and filter them by status
  • Update a pending reminder's title, time, channel, or recipients
  • Cancel a reminder you no longer need

Try asking your AI

  • “Remind me on Slack every Monday at 9am to send the weekly report”
  • “Set an email reminder for the project deadline on December 15 at 8am to alice@example.com and bob@example.com”
  • “Show me all my pending reminders”
  • “Cancel the reminder about the team sync”

What it gives back to you

When you create or change a reminder, your AI tells you it was set up and usually shows the details like the title, time, and channel. When you ask for a list, you get back a list of your reminders with their status, such as pending, delivered, or cancelled. Cancelling a reminder gives you a short confirmation that it is done.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Pingfyr account (sign up at pingfyr.com)
  • Your Pingfyr API key (you get it from your Pingfyr account)
  • Node.js 18 or newer if you run it on your own computer
  • A paid Pingfyr plan if you want email or Google Calendar reminders

Good to know

Reminders you set up will really be sent out at the time you choose, so double check the time, channel, and recipients before confirming.
