by Danielpeter-99

Let your AI look up your Cal.com event types, bookings, schedules and teams, and even create bookings for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your Cal.com account. Cal.com is a scheduling tool where people book time with you. If you spend a lot of time checking your calendar, copying booking details, or setting up meetings by hand, this can save you some steps.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This one connects your AI to Cal.com, so when you ask about your bookings or event types, the AI can go and look them up for you. You do not need to understand how it works under the hood. You just ask in plain words.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like what bookings do I have next week. The AI passes that request to this helper program running on your computer. The helper talks to Cal.com using your API key, which is like a password that lets it read your account. Cal.com sends back the information, and the helper hands it to the AI. The AI then shows you a tidy answer in the chat, like a list of bookings or a confirmation that a new booking was made.

What you can do with it

  • List all your event types so you can see what people can book
  • Pull up your bookings, filtered by date, status, or event type
  • Create a new booking for someone at a specific time
  • Check your schedules and who they belong to
  • See the teams and users on your Cal.com account
  • Look at the webhooks set up on your account
  • Check whether your Cal.com API key is working

Try asking your AI

  • “Show me all my bookings for next week”
  • “What event types do I have on Cal.com?”
  • “Book Jane Doe for a 30 minute intro call on Tuesday at 2pm”
  • “List the teams and users on my Cal.com account”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat, usually as a list or a short summary. For example, a list of bookings with names, times, and statuses, or a list of your event types with their names and lengths. If you ask it to create a booking, it tells you whether it worked and shows the booking details. If something goes wrong, it explains the error in plain words.
