Work Email Waterfall MCP server

by mambalabsdev

Find and verify a work email for each contact using your own provider keys, and see what each provider cost.

This is a small helper that lets your AI look up work email addresses for a list of people. You give it names, companies or LinkedIn links, and it tries several email-finding services in turn until it finds an address, then checks that the address is real. It is handy for sales, recruiting and marketing people who need contact emails and want to know what each lookup actually cost.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to an email-finding service called Work Email Waterfall, which runs on a platform called Apify. Once it is connected, you can ask your AI to find work emails for a list of people, and it will go and do that for you.

What this MCP server does

You give your AI a list of contacts, with whatever details you have, like a full name, a company website address, or a LinkedIn profile link. Your AI passes that list to this helper, along with the account keys you have from email-finding providers. The helper tries each provider in turn, checks any address it finds, and stops when it has a verified email. Then it hands back one row per person, including the people it could not find, plus a summary of what the whole run cost.

What you can do with it

  • Find a work email for each person on a list
  • Check that a found email address is likely to work
  • See which provider found each address and where it sat in the chain
  • See how many provider credits each lookup used
  • Get a dollar cost per provider when you supply your own rates
  • Set a cap on how many provider credits a run may spend
  • Run a list even when some provider keys are missing or invalid

Try asking your AI

  • “Find work emails for these 20 people at acme.com and tell me which provider found each one”
  • “Look up the work email for Jane Doe at example.com using my Hunter and Apollo keys”
  • “Run this list of contacts through the email waterfall and cap the spend at 5 dollars”
  • “Which provider found the most emails on my last run, and what did each one cost me”

What it gives back to you

You get a table with one row per contact, including the people where no email was found. Each row shows the address, the provider that found it, its position in the chain, every provider that was tried, the verification result, and the provider credits used. There is also a summary row with the totals for the whole run, and if you gave your own rates, the spend is shown in dollars. In the chat, your AI will usually summarise this for you and can show the full table if you ask.

Before you start

What you need

  • An Apify account and an Apify token (a kind of password for apps; you get one for free from the Apify console)
  • Your own account keys from one or more email-finding providers, such as Hunter or Apollo
  • Node.js installed on your computer, so the npx command can run

Good to know

Each run spends money: it uses your own provider accounts and also uses Apify credits, so set a cap on provider units and on total spend before you start.
