This is a helper that plugs into your AI chat and gives it a set of research tools for company and sales work. You ask a question about a company, and your AI goes off and gathers the details for you. It is handy for sales, marketing and business development people who spend a lot of time looking companies up by hand.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to a set of company research tools that run on Apify, a service that gathers information from websites. Once it is connected, your AI can look up company facts, hiring activity and tech details for you when you ask.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what a company does or whether they are hiring. Your AI picks the right tool from this suite and sends the request through this helper. The helper passes the job to the matching tool running on Apify, which goes and collects the information. The result comes back as a tidy list of facts, and your AI shows it to you in the chat. There are twenty one tools in total, covering company identity, company facts, buying signals, fit scores and more.

What it gives back to you
You get back a set of facts and scores shown as a list or short summary in the chat. For example, you might see employee count, industry, headquarters, a list of tools the company uses, or a fit score with a short explanation. Some tools return only what changed since your last check, so you get a short update instead of everything again. The results are plain text and numbers you can read or copy.

What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer installed on your computer
- A free Apify account
- An Apify API token (a kind of password for apps; you copy it from your Apify account page)
