TikTok Brand Presence Mapper MCP server
by mambalabsdev
Look up a brand's TikTok account and its follower, like and video counts from a handle or a domain.
This is a small connector that lets your AI look up whether a company has a TikTok account, and pull the numbers for that account. You give it a TikTok handle like shopify or a website like allbirds.com, and it comes back with followers, likes, video count, verified status, the bio and the bio link. It is handy if you do research on brands and want to avoid opening TikTok by hand for every company on your list.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It cannot go and check a TikTok profile, because it has no way to reach TikTok. An MCP server is a small helper program you connect to your AI, and it gives your AI one new skill. This helper's skill is reaching the TikTok Brand Presence Mapper service, so when you ask about a brand, your AI can send that question to it and bring the answer back into the chat.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question in normal words, like how many TikTok followers a brand has, or whether a website has any TikTok presence. Your AI passes the handle or the domain to this helper. The helper sends it on to the TikTok Brand Presence Mapper actor, which runs on Apify, a service in the cloud. That service searches TikTok, checks that the account really belongs to the company you named, and reads the public counts off the profile page. Your AI then hands you back one tidy row of details for that brand.
What you can do with it
- Look up a TikTok account from a company domain
- Get follower, following, like and video counts for a brand
- Check whether an account is verified
- Read a brand's display name, bio and outbound bio link
- Confirm that a found account really belongs to the company
- Run a cheaper lookup that only returns the profile link, without counts
- Set a spending cap so a single lookup cannot run past an amount you pick
Try asking your AI
- “How many TikTok followers does Gymshark have?”
- “Find the TikTok account for allbirds.com and tell me if it is verified.”
- “Check whether patagonia.com has a TikTok presence at all.”
- “What is the bio link on the TikTok account for shopify?”
What it gives back to you
You get back one row of details for the company: the TikTok handle, display name, bio, bio link, verification status, and follower, following, like and video counts. Every row carries a status field, so you can tell at a glance whether it worked, whether no account exists, or whether TikTok blocked the lookup. If a found account turns out to belong to someone else, it says identity_mismatch instead of giving you wrong numbers. It reads only, so nothing on TikTok is changed.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer on the machine running your AI client
- An Apify account with an API token (a kind of password for apps, free to get from console.apify.com)
- Apify credits on that account, since each lookup is paid per use
- An MCP client, such as the Claude desktop app, that can run this server
Good to know
Each lookup spends real Apify credits on your account, so set the spending cap if you plan to run it over a long list of companies.
