This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to your Meta ads account, the place where Facebook and Instagram ads live. Once it is set up, you can just ask your AI things like how your ads did today, or ask it to pause something that is doing badly. It is handy if you run ads but do not want to click around the ads manager all day.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to the Meta Marketing API, which is the official way to reach your Facebook and Instagram ad account. So when you ask a question about your ads, your AI uses this helper to go and look things up or make changes for you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something about your ads in normal words. The AI passes your request to this helper program. The helper then talks to Meta, which is the company behind Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta sends back the numbers, the lists or the confirmation of a change. Your AI turns that into a plain answer in the chat, like a short report or a note that it paused a campaign.

What you can do with it

  • Check how your campaigns, ad sets and ads performed today or over the last 30 days
  • Create a new Facebook or Instagram ad campaign, ad set and ad
  • Pause or update campaigns that are spending too much or doing poorly
  • Build custom audiences and lookalike audiences from your customer lists
  • Upload images and videos and turn them into ad creatives
  • Set up automated rules that pause ads when a cost gets too high
  • Look up public competitor ads in the Meta Ad Library

Try asking your AI

  • “How did my Facebook ads do today?”
  • “Pause every campaign with a return on ad spend below 2.”
  • “Create a new campaign for our spring sale with a 20 dollar daily budget.”
  • “Show me a performance report for the last 30 days.”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat, not raw files. That can be a short summary of spend, clicks and impressions, a list of campaigns or audiences, or a note that a change was made. For big date ranges it can pull a longer report and summarise it for you. If you ask it to create or pause something, it tells you what it changed.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Meta ads account with Facebook or Instagram ads in it
  • A Meta access token, which is a kind of password your AI uses to reach your ads account
  • Your ad account ID, a number Meta gives you
  • Node.js installed on your computer if you run it yourself

Good to know

This helper can change and delete real ads and spend real money, so check with your AI before letting it make changes and keep an eye on your account.
