Swagger MCP Bridge
by Neo1228
Lets your AI call the actions your own app already describes, with checks before anything risky runs.

Swagger MCP Bridge is a small add-on for web apps built with Spring Boot, a popular way to build Java apps. It takes the list of actions your app already publishes about itself and turns them into tools your AI assistant can call. It is handy for developers and small teams who want an AI to work with an app they already have, without writing new code for every action.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another app or service. This one is a helper you add inside your own Spring Boot app, so your AI can reach that app and use the actions it already offers. Once it is connected, you ask in plain words and the helper does the reaching for you.
What this MCP server does
You add this add-on to an existing Spring Boot app and switch it on. From then on, the app reads its own published description of available actions and offers each one to your AI as a tool. When you ask your AI something, it picks the matching action, fills in the details, and the helper sends the request to your app. You get the answer back in the chat, and if something is missing or risky, it tells you before doing anything. There are also helper tools that let the AI look around first, plan a few steps, and test a call before running it for real.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Ask your AI what actions your app offers and how they are grouped
- Describe a single action so you can see what it needs before running it
- Let your AI pick the right action from a plain-English request
- Check a call for missing details without actually running it
- Plan a chain of steps, such as creating a record and then reading it back
- Run a plan as a dry run first, then for real when it looks clean
- Keep risky actions behind a confirmation word you set
Try asking your AI
- “What actions does my app offer, grouped by area?”
- “Describe the get order action and show me the details it needs.”
- “Check this call before running it: get order with id order-1.”
- “Plan a workflow that creates an order and then reads it back.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat, in everyday words: what actions exist, what a particular action needs, and whether a planned call looks complete. When a call runs for real, you see what your app sent back, such as the data you asked for or a note that a record was created. If a call is refused, you get a short, clear explanation, for example that a required detail was missing, instead of a broken request being sent.
Before you start
What you need
- A Spring Boot app (a Java web app) using Java 17 or newer
- Spring Boot 3.5.x with the springdoc-openapi library, version 2.8.x
- The ability to add one line to your project's build file
- An AI app that can connect to MCP servers, such as Claude Desktop
Good to know
It can send real requests to your app, including ones that create, change, or delete data, so keep the confirmation setting on and test with safe data first.
Install it with your AI
Add Swagger MCP Bridge to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Swagger MCP Bridge, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
