Kaledge is a service for keeping track of money between AI agents. It makes signed receipts for each payment, adds up balances, and combines lots of small transactions into a few net amounts. This MCP server is handy if you work with automated agents that pay each other and you want your AI to check or summarize those payments for you.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Kaledge, a settlement service for machine payments. Once connected, your AI can ask Kaledge to verify a receipt, build a balance sheet, or net a batch of receipts, and then tell you the answer in plain words.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like check this receipt or add up these payments. Your AI passes that request to this helper, which talks to Kaledge. Kaledge looks at the signed receipt or the list of receipts and does the math or the check. Then your AI shows you the result in the chat, like whether the receipt is valid or what the net amount is.

What you can do with it

  • Verify a settlement receipt and tell you if it is valid
  • Generate a balance sheet for an agent
  • Net several receipts into fewer combined obligations
  • Check the amounts and currencies on a batch of receipts
  • Summarize what one agent owes or is owed

Try asking your AI

  • “Verify this settlement receipt and tell me if the signature is valid”
  • “Generate the balance sheet for agent_a_pubkey”
  • “Net these receipts and show me the combined obligations”
  • “Look at these receipts and tell me the total netted volume in USD”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat, not files. For a receipt check, you get a simple valid or not valid with the details. For a balance sheet, you get a list of amounts and currencies. For netting, you get the smaller set of combined obligations instead of the long original list.

Before you start

What you need

  • Node.js installed on your computer so npx can run the server
  • The MCP config in your AI app pointed at this server
  • A Kaledge account or API access if you want to do more than the free local checks

Good to know

This is financial infrastructure for agents, so double-check any receipt or netting result before you rely on it for real money.
