Redis Cloud MCP server
by redis
Let your AI create and check your Redis Cloud databases and subscriptions by just asking.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your Redis Cloud account. Redis Cloud is a service that runs Redis databases for you in the cloud. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI in plain English to create a database, list your subscriptions, or check on a task, and it will do it for you.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. It cannot see your Redis Cloud account or change anything there. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case a connection to Redis Cloud. You ask your AI something, the AI passes the request to this helper, and the helper talks to Redis Cloud for you.
What this MCP server does
You type a request in your AI chat, like asking to see your subscriptions or create a new database. The AI sends that request to this helper program running on your computer. The helper logs into your Redis Cloud account using your API key and secret key, then asks Redis Cloud to do the thing you wanted. Redis Cloud replies, and the helper sends the answer back to your AI, which shows it to you in the chat. For longer jobs, like creating a subscription, you get a task ID you can ask about later.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- List your current Redis Cloud subscriptions
- Create a new Pro or Essential subscription
- Delete an Essential subscription
- See available cloud regions on AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Check your account details and payment methods
- List available plans and database modules
- Track the progress of a task by its ID
Try asking your AI
- “What are my current Redis Cloud subscriptions?”
- “Create a new Redis database in AWS”
- “Show me the available regions and plans for an Essential subscription”
- “What is the status of my last task?”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain text inside your AI chat. For listings, you get a readable list of subscriptions, plans, regions, or payment methods. When you create or delete something, you get a confirmation and often a task ID you can check on. Task lookups show you the current status and progress of that job.
Before you start

Good to know
This helper can create and delete real Redis Cloud subscriptions, so double check with your AI before saying yes to anything that changes or removes resources.
Install it with your AI
Add Redis Cloud MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Redis Cloud MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Anyone who manages Redis Cloud databases and would rather ask their AI in plain words than click through the Redis Cloud dashboard.
