What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to Tomba, so when you ask for an email address or a company's details, the AI can go and look it up for you. You never touch the technical parts; you just ask and read the answer.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like find the email address for the head of marketing at a company. The AI sends that request to this helper, and the helper talks to Tomba's service. What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat, usually as a short list or a small table. For an email search you might see names, email addresses, job titles and how confident the match is. For a verification you get a simple yes or no plus a short reason. For company research you get details like industry, size, location and technology used.

What you need
- A Tomba account (you can sign up for free at tomba.io)
- Your Tomba API key and secret key from your Tomba dashboard
- Node.js 18 or newer installed on your computer
- The Claude desktop app or another AI tool that supports MCP servers

Each search uses credits from your Tomba plan, so keep an eye on your usage, and only look up contact details you have a fair reason to use.
