This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your VibeAds account, which watches over your Google Ads. Once it is set up, you can just ask questions in normal words and get answers about your campaigns. It is made for people who run or manage ads for local service businesses like plumbers, roofers, or cleaners.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case a connection to your VibeAds account. When you ask something like "what is my account health score?", your AI passes the question to this helper, the helper asks VibeAds, and the answer comes back into your chat. You never have to learn Google Ads query language or click around dashboards.

What this MCP server does

You type a question in your AI chat, like which search terms are wasting money. The AI sends that question to this helper, which talks to your VibeAds account and pulls the live campaign data. VibeAds has already synced your Google Ads numbers and run its own checks, so the helper can hand back a health score, a list of wasted spend, or a ranked list of things to fix. On paid plans, it can also draft a new campaign strategy or start a publish flow, but a person always has to approve anything that spends real money.

What you can do with it

  • Check your account health score from 0 to 100
  • Find search terms that are burning budget with zero conversions
  • List all your campaigns and see which are paused
  • Get a deep dive on one campaign, including metrics and targeting
  • See the top diagnostics ranked by how serious they are
  • Draft a new campaign strategy with keywords and ad copy (Pro or Max plan)
  • Start a publish flow that waits for your approval in the browser (Pro or Max plan)

Try asking your AI

  • “What's my VibeAds account health score?”
  • “Which search terms are wasting my budget?”
  • “Show me all critical diagnostics and what to fix first”
  • “Tell me everything about my plumber campaign in Austin”

What it gives back to you

You get answers written in plain markdown right in your chat. That can be a score with a letter grade, a table of campaigns, a list of wasted search terms with dollar amounts, or a ranked list of fixes with severity labels. For write tools, you get a draft strategy, a campaign ID, or an approval link you open in your browser.

Before you start

What you need

  • A VibeAds account (the free tier is enough to get a key)
  • An API key from VibeAds, starting with vba_mcp_ (the site gives you one)
  • Node.js version 20 or newer installed on your computer
  • A Pro or Max VibeAds plan if you want the write tools, not just the read tools

Good to know

The write tools can change your campaigns and, once you approve a publish in your browser, spend real ad money, so read each approval page carefully before clicking Approve.
