KoreanPulse MCP server
Ask your AI about Korean stock filings, activist investors and industry news, all in English.

KoreanPulse is a helper for your AI assistant that brings Korean stock market news into the chat, in English. It watches company filings from Korea's official disclosure system, tracks when big foreign investors or activist funds buy into a Korean company, and gathers Korean industry news. It is handy if you follow Korean stocks but do not read Korean, or if you just want a quick English summary of what is happening.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. KoreanPulse is that helper for Korean stock data, so your AI can look up filings, investor moves and news for you when you ask. You do not need to install anything complicated: you can add it to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector and start asking questions.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like 'any new filings on Samsung Electronics today?'. Your AI sends that question to KoreanPulse. KoreanPulse then talks to Korea's official disclosure system (called DART) and to Korean news feeds, translates what it finds into English, and tags the interesting parts, like which activist fund or foreign investor is involved. Your AI then shows you a short, readable answer in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Look up recent Korean company filings and get an English summary
- Find the official DART code for a Korean company by its name
- Turn a 6-digit Korean stock code into the right company record
- Search Korean industry news across 16 sectors like chips, batteries, defense and biotech
- Track when activist investors file 5% ownership notices (paid tier)
- Track when big foreign holders like BlackRock or Vanguard cross 5% (paid tier)
- Ask what the server can do and which tools are free or paid
Try asking your AI
- “Any new DART filings on Samsung Electronics today?”
- “What is the DART corp code for Hyundai Motor?”
- “Show me recent Korean semiconductor industry news in English”
- “Has any activist investor filed a 5% notice on a KOSPI company this week?”
What it gives back to you
You get back short English summaries, lists of filings with dates and company names, tagged investor moves, and news headlines grouped by industry. It reads like a small briefing in your chat, not a giant table. If nothing new has happened, it will tell you that too. It never gives buy or sell advice, just the facts from the sources.
Before you start
What you need
- An AI assistant that supports MCP connectors, like Claude.ai, ChatGPT or Cursor
- For the hosted version: nothing else, just add the connector URL
- For the self-hosted version: a DART API key from Korea's disclosure site (free) and an OpenAI API key
- For the paid tools: a KoreanPulse license key from a Solo, Analyst or Desk subscription
Good to know
It is read-only and gives data only, never buy or sell advice, but the paid tools need a license key and the watchlist alert features are still planned and not available yet.
Install it with your AI
Add KoreanPulse MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check KoreanPulse MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
