RunDida MCP server

by XWeaponX7

Lets your AI work out running paces, heart rate zones, race predictions and marathon dates for you.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “What pace do I need to run a marathon in 3 hours 30 minutes?”, the RunDida MCP server connects it to RunDida, and you get back your pace, times and race dates.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to RunDida, a free running tools website. Once it is set up, you can just ask your AI things like what pace you need for a certain finish time, and it will do the maths and look things up for you. It is handy for runners, coaches, or anyone who plans training and races.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to RunDida, a running tools site, so the AI can calculate paces and heart rate zones and look up marathon events for you. You ask in normal words, and the AI quietly uses this helper behind the scenes.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a running question in plain words. The AI passes it to this helper, which either does the maths itself or fetches information from the RunDida website. For calculations like pace or heart rate zones, it works them out right away with no waiting. For things like marathon dates or training guides, it looks them up on RunDida and brings the answer back. Then the AI explains the result to you in the chat.

What you can do with it

  • Work out your pace, time or distance when you give two of the three
  • Predict your race times across distances based on a recent result
  • Calculate your five heart rate training zones from your age and resting heart rate
  • Count down the days to a specific marathon
  • Browse running calculators by topic, like nutrition or gear
  • Look up running training guides
  • Find marathon events with dates, locations, weather and course details

Try asking your AI

  • “What pace do I need to run a marathon in 3 hours 30 minutes?”
  • “Predict my marathon time based on a 10K of 45 minutes”
  • “What are my heart rate zones? I'm 32 with a resting heart rate of 52”
  • “How many days until the Tokyo Marathon?”

What it gives back to you

For calculations you get numbers back, like a pace per kilometre, a predicted finish time, or a list of heart rate zones with a range for each. For lookups you get lists and short summaries, such as marathon events with their dates and locations, or guides with a short description. The AI then writes this out for you in the chat, usually as a short answer or a small list. Nothing is changed on any website; it only reads and calculates.

Before you start

What you need

  • The Claude desktop app, Claude Code, Cursor or another app that supports MCP servers
  • Node.js version 18 or newer installed on your computer
  • An internet connection for the lookup tools

Good to know

The race predictions and heart rate zones are estimates based on standard formulas, so treat them as guidance rather than exact personal advice.

Install it with your AI

Add RunDida MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check RunDida MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
