Queue AIops MCP server
by AIops-tools
Lets your AI check and safely fix Redis and RabbitMQ problems, with every action logged and undoable.
Queue AIops is a helper for people who run their own Redis cache or RabbitMQ message broker. It lets your AI look into what is going on (memory filling up, slow responses, queues piling up) and make a few careful changes when you ask. It is handy if you do not have an expensive monitoring system but still need to keep things healthy.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This server connects your AI to your Redis and RabbitMQ servers, so the AI can look things up there or make a change for you. When you ask a question, the AI uses this helper behind the scenes to fetch the answer.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like why Redis memory keeps climbing. The AI sends that request to this helper. The helper talks to your Redis or RabbitMQ server, gathers the numbers, and runs one of four built-in analyses (memory pressure, latency, queue backlog, or connection churn). The results come back to the AI as a plain summary with the evidence behind it. If you then ask for a change, the helper records what it is about to do, notes the old value first so it can be undone, and carries it out.
What you can do with it
- Check overall health of your Redis or RabbitMQ setup
- Analyze why Redis memory is under pressure
- Find out why Redis is responding slowly
- See which RabbitMQ queues have the biggest backlog
- Spot connection churn on either platform
- Change a Redis setting safely and undo it later
- Purge or delete a RabbitMQ queue with confirmation
What it gives back to you
You get back clear answers in the chat: numbers, top offenders, and short explanations with the evidence shown. For example, the memory analysis names the maxmemory setting, the eviction policy, and any big keys it found (with a note about how much it scanned). If the AI made a change, it tells you what it did and records the old value so you can undo it later.
Before you start
What you need
- A Redis or RabbitMQ server you can reach from your computer
- The uv tool installed (the installer fetches the server for you)
- A master password you choose, saved in a config file by queue-aiops init
Good to know
It can change and delete things on your Redis or RabbitMQ server, so check the dry-run result carefully before letting it run a real change.
Install it with your AI
Add Queue AIops MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Queue AIops MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Anyone who runs their own Redis or RabbitMQ in a small team and wants help spotting and fixing problems without a heavy monitoring suite.
