Deploy MCP server

by alexpota

Check your website deployments and see their status right inside your AI chat.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Is my latest website update live yet?”, the Deploy MCP server connects it to Vercel or Netlify, and you get back A plain answer in your chat.

This is a small helper that lets your AI assistant check on your website deployments for you. It works with Vercel, Netlify, and Cloudflare Pages, the services many people use to put websites online. It is handy if you build or update websites and want to know whether your latest change went live without opening a bunch of dashboards.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to your deployment platforms, so it can look up the status of your sites and show you what happened. You just ask in plain words, and the helper does the looking.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like whether your latest deployment is live. The AI passes that question to this helper. The helper talks to your deployment platform, like Vercel or Netlify, using a token you gave it. It brings back the status, the logs, or a list of your recent deployments. Then the AI tells you the answer in the chat, in normal words.

What you can do with it

  • Check the status of your latest deployment
  • See the last several deployments for a project
  • Read the logs from a deployment
  • Watch a deployment while it is still running
  • Compare two recent deployments
  • List all your projects or sites on a platform

Try asking your AI

  • “What's the status of my latest Vercel deployment?”
  • “Show me the last 5 deployments for my-app”
  • “List all my Netlify sites”
  • “Show me the logs for my latest Cloudflare Pages deployment”

What it gives back to you

You get plain answers in the chat, like whether a deployment succeeded or failed. It can also show you a list of recent deployments with their status and times. If you ask for logs, it brings back the text from that deployment. Everything shows up as normal chat text you can read right away.

Before you start

What you need

  • A free account on the platform you use (Vercel, Netlify, or Cloudflare Pages)
  • An API token from that platform (a kind of password for apps; the site gives you one for free)
  • An AI assistant that supports MCP, like the Claude desktop app or Cursor

Good to know

Your API tokens give access to your deployment accounts, so keep them private and only share your configuration file with people you trust.
