Mengram MCP server
by alibaizhanov
Gives your AI a long-term memory so it remembers your facts, past events and workflows.

Mengram is a memory service for AI assistants. It stores what you tell your AI, then brings the right bits back later when they matter. It is handy if you use Claude Code, Cursor or Claude Desktop every day and are tired of repeating yourself.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with what is in front of it. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to Mengram, a memory service. Once it is connected, your AI can save things you tell it and look them up again later, without you copying and pasting anything.
What this MCP server does
You talk to your AI as usual. Behind the scenes, the helper sends your conversation to Mengram, which pulls out the useful bits: facts about you, things that happened, and steps you repeat. When you ask something later, your AI asks Mengram for anything relevant and gets it back. You see the answer in the chat, and often a small note about where the memory came from. Over time the memory builds up, so the AI knows your setup, your past problems and your usual routines.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Remember facts about you, like your tools and preferences
- Recall past events, decisions and how they turned out
- Keep track of workflows and update them when a step fails
- Answer questions using your own history, with sources
- Import your existing Claude Code sessions so it is not starting empty
- Keep separate memories for different people or projects
- Search across facts, events and workflows in one go
Try asking your AI
- “What is my usual deploy process?”
- “What did we decide about the database last week?”
- “Have I hit this error before, and how did I fix it?”
- “What language and tools do I normally use?”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain language, often with a short note of which memory they came from. Searches can come back as short lists of facts, events or steps. When it saves something new, that happens quietly in the background. You can also ask it to show a summary of what it knows about you.
Before you start
What you need
- A free Mengram account and API key from mengram.io (an API key is a kind of password for apps)
- Python installed if you use the pip route, or Node.js if you use the npm route
- The Claude desktop app, Claude Code, Cursor or another tool that supports MCP servers
Good to know
It saves parts of your conversations to a memory service, so avoid pasting secrets or private information you would not want stored.
Install it with your AI
Add Mengram MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Mengram MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who use an AI coding or writing assistant every day and want it to stop forgetting what happened yesterday.
