Your AI writes phone greetings, hold messages and automated phone menus for your business.

This is the official connector for Lobby, an AI phone answering service for small businesses. Once you connect it, your AI assistant can help you draft everything around your phones: how your business greets callers, holds them while they wait, and routes them through a menu. It is handy if you answer calls yourself and want ready-to-record wording fast.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only talk with you inside the chat window. An MCP server is a little helper program sitting between your AI and some outside service. Here that service is Lobby, a virtual receptionist platform. When you ask your AI for a phone message, the AI quietly sends your request to Lobby's helpers behind the scenes and brings the finished result back into the chat.

What this MCP server does

When you describe your business and say what you need, your AI picks the matching Lobby action. For example, asking for a welcome recording makes it send your details to the writing helper. That helper composes the full text in English, Mexican Spanish, or both. The reply lands in your chat within seconds, already formatted and ready to hand off to whoever records your voice lines.

What you can do with it

  • Write a professional phone greeting for your business
  • Create a voicemail message and an on-hold loop
  • Build a whole touch-tone menu with numbered choices
  • Get a version in English and Mexican Spanish side by side
  • Estimate how much money missed calls cost each month
  • Role-play a practice customer call against the receptionist

Try asking your AI

  • “I run a dental clinic called Bright Smiles in Austin. We're closed weekends. Can I have my main phone greeting written out?”
  • “Turn our current greeting below into a proper four option phone menu where pressing nine switches to Spanish.”
  • “We miss roughly twenty five percent of our calls and average job value is three hundred dollars. How badly is that hurting me per year?”
  • “Pretend you are calling my bakery after hours and let me practise playing the owner.”

What it gives back to you

For the writing actions you get clean blocks of text you can drop straight onto paper next to the microphone. Some replies come wrapped in tidy labelled sections such as Greeting, Options and Operator Line. Math questions return dollar figures broken down monthly and yearly along with simple payback estimates. Practice calls give you a pretend dialogue showing what was said and whether the imaginary appointment got booked.
