Claude Find MCP server
by Cavinooo
Search all your past Claude Code sessions by meaning and find old decisions, errors, and context.

Claude Find is a small helper that lets your AI search everything you have ever talked about in your past Claude Code sessions. Instead of scrolling back through old chats, you just ask a question and it digs up the relevant conversations. It is handy if you use Claude Code a lot and keep forgetting where you discussed something.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat about what is in front of it right now. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something else. This one connects your AI to your own history of past Claude Code sessions, so it can look things up there for you. You ask a question, and the helper goes and finds the old conversations that match.
What this MCP server does
You type a question in a Claude Code session, like asking where you discussed a certain topic. Your AI passes that question to this helper. The helper searches through your saved session files, matching by meaning and by keywords, not just exact words. It hands the matching pieces of the old conversations back to your AI. Your AI then reads them and gives you a summary of what was tried, what failed, and what was decided.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Find an old session by describing what it was about
- Recall why you made a certain technical decision
- Look up a past error or problem you ran into
- Search across all your projects at once
- Pull up the constraints and requirements you set earlier
- See which files were touched in a past session
Try asking your AI
- “Find that database migration we discussed last week”
- “Find why we chose websockets over polling”
- “Find the session where we kept getting timeout errors”
- “Find refactoring the payment module across all projects”
What it gives back to you
You get back a written summary in the chat, built from the real old conversations. It tells you what was tried, what failed, what constraints you had set, and what decisions were made. It can also point out which project, branch, files, and date the session was from. Nothing is changed or deleted, it only reads and reports.
