Contentrain MCP server
by Contentrain
Let your AI pull hardcoded text out of your code and turn it into tidy, translatable content files.

Contentrain is a helper for teams who write websites and apps. It takes the words scattered inside your code, like button labels and headings, and moves them into neat content files you can review and translate. It is handy if you keep copying and pasting the same text around or want your site in more than one language.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Contentrain, a tool that organizes the text in your project. So when you ask, your AI can look through your files, pull out the text, and save it in a tidy place for you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to clean up the text in your project. The AI uses this helper to look through your code and find the words that are written directly inside it. The helper then saves those words as structured content files, with names and labels, and can update your code to use those labels instead. It also checks that everything follows the rules you set, like which fields are required. When it is done, you get a set of clean files plus a list of what changed, ready for you to review.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Find hardcoded text in your code and pull it out
- Create content models that describe your text fields
- Translate your content into other languages
- Update content entries and keep them consistent
- Check your content against your rules and flag problems
- Save everything as plain JSON and Markdown files in your project
- Open a local review page to browse and approve changes
Try asking your AI
- “Look through my project and find all the hardcoded text in the homepage components”
- “Turn those strings into a content model and update the files to use labels instead”
- “Add a Turkish translation for all the text in the marketing section”
- “Check my content files for missing fields or broken links”
What it gives back to you
You get a summary of what the AI found and changed, plus the new content files saved in your project. It can also show you a list of models, entries, or validation problems. In the chat you will see plain answers and short reports, and the actual files appear in your project folder. You can then open the local review page to look at everything before accepting it.
