Claude Soul MCP server
by DomDemetz
Gives your Claude a memory that lasts between chats, plus a way to learn from your corrections over time.

Claude Soul is a small helper you add to Claude Code so it stops forgetting everything when a chat ends. It keeps notes about your past sessions, remembers decisions and lessons, and quietly tracks the times you correct it. It is handy if you use Claude Code often and are tired of repeating yourself.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with what is in front of it right now. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something else. This one connects your Claude Code to a local memory store on your own computer, so it can look things up from earlier sessions and save new notes for later. Nothing leaves your machine, and there is no account to create.
What this MCP server does
When you start a chat, your AI asks this helper for your saved identity, notes, and lessons. As you work, the helper watches for moments where you correct the AI, like saying that is wrong or stop doing that, and files them away. When you ask a question about the past, the helper searches your saved notes by meaning and hands the answer back. Every so often, in the background, it looks at the patterns it collected and decides which habits to keep and which to drop. Over time, your Claude starts to remember how you like to work.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Ask what you decided about a topic in a past session
- Save a fact, decision, or lesson so it is there next time
- See which corrections you keep making and whether they are fading
- Browse your past conversation journals
- Let Claude reflect on its own behavior and adjust
- Write to your own soul files, like SOUL.md and SHADOW.md
Try asking your AI
- “What did we decide about the login flow last week?”
- “Save this: we are going with Postgres for the new service.”
- “Show me my correction patterns from the last month.”
- “Search my memory for anything about the pricing page rewrite.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain chat: a remembered decision with its context, a list of recent memories, or a short report of your correction patterns with little trend arrows. When you save something, it just confirms it stored the note. The reflection work happens quietly in the background, so you mostly notice it as your Claude behaving a bit more like you expect.
