EN Diagram MCP server
Ask your AI to map out a system's structure, bottlenecks, and risks, with every answer backed by math.

This is a helper that lets your AI answer structural questions about systems you describe in a simple text format called EN. You write a few lines about who does what and what flows between them, and the AI can then tell you where the bottlenecks are, what could deadlock, and what happens if a piece is removed. It is handy for anyone who sketches processes, pipelines, or workflows and wants clear answers instead of guesses.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to EN Diagram, a service that runs graph math on systems you describe. So when you ask a structural question, your AI passes it to this helper, the helper does the math, and you get a clear answer back in the chat.
What this MCP server does
You describe a system in plain EN lines, like who does what and what they need and produce. You ask your AI a question about it, for example where the bottleneck is or whether two things can reach each other. Your AI sends your description and question to this helper. The helper runs the analysis on the EN Diagram service and sends back the result. Your AI then explains that result to you in normal words.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Map the shape of a system, including stages, bridges, cycles, and the critical path
- Spot risks like unguarded sinks and single points of failure
- Check whether a system can deadlock or overflow
- Test whether one step can reach another and how far apart they are
- Compare two versions of a system and see what changed
- Merge two systems or pull out one part to look at on its own
- Render a diagram of the system as an image when you ask for one
Try asking your AI
- “Here is my order process in EN. Where are the bottlenecks?”
- “Can a customer order ever get stuck in this flow?”
- “If I remove the kitchen step, what breaks?”
- “Draw me a diagram of this system.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain language in the chat, based on the analysis the helper ran. Depending on what you asked, that might be a list of risks, a path between two steps, a comparison of two versions, or a summary of the system's shape. If you ask for a picture, you get a diagram file you can open.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer (the free software that runs npx)
- An MCP client like Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Cursor
Good to know
The server sends a random install ID with each request so the team can debug issues; you can turn this off with a simple setting if you prefer.
Install it with your AI
Add EN Diagram MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check EN Diagram MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Anyone who sketches processes, pipelines, or workflows and wants clear structural answers without doing the math by hand.
