NocoDB MCP server
Let your AI read, add, update, and delete rows in your NocoDB tables just by asking in plain words.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to a NocoDB database. NocoDB is a tool that turns your data into a friendly spreadsheet you can view in a browser. If you keep lists or tables in NocoDB and wish you could just tell your AI what to do with them, this is for you.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. It cannot see your NocoDB tables or change anything there. An MCP server is a little helper program that gives your AI one new skill, here the skill of talking to your NocoDB database. Once it is connected, you can ask your AI to look up rows or make changes, and the helper does the actual work in NocoDB for you.
What this MCP server does
You type a request in plain words, like asking for rows from a certain table. Your AI passes that request to this helper. The helper logs into your NocoDB account using the details you set up, then reads or changes the table you named. The result comes back into the chat as a list, a short answer, or a note that the change was made.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Read rows from any table in your NocoDB base
- Add one or many new rows at once
- Update existing rows, including setting the same value on many rows
- Delete rows that match a name or condition
- Add a new column to a table
- Delete a column you no longer need
- Create a new table from a JSON file
Try asking your AI
- “Get all rows from the table called Shinobi”
- “Add a new row with name sasuke-2”
- “Update all rows and remove the dash from the name”
- “Delete all rows where the name is naruto”
What it gives back to you
You get answers right in the chat. For a read, that is usually a list of rows with their column values. For an add, update, or delete, you get a short confirmation of what changed. If something fails, you get an error message you can show to whoever set this up.
Before you start
What you need
- A NocoDB account and a base with at least one table
- Your NocoDB base ID (it is the middle part of the web address when you open the base)
- A NocoDB API token (a kind of password for apps, which you create in your NocoDB account settings)
- Node.js installed if you run it yourself, or use the hosted version instead
Good to know
It can add, change, and delete rows and columns in your NocoDB base, so be careful with delete requests and keep a backup of anything important.
Install it with your AI
Add NocoDB MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check NocoDB MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Anyone who keeps lists or tables in NocoDB and wants to update them by chatting instead of clicking, like operations staff, project coordinators, and small teams tracking data.
