Emilia Protocol MCP server

by emiliaprotocol

Lets your AI pause risky actions until a named person approves them.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Pay Acme Supplies eighty two thousand dollars”, the Emilia Protocol MCP server keeps repeating: pauses the action, asks the right person, waits for a yes, checks and logs it, and you get back approved or blocked.

Emilia Protocol is a safety layer that sits between your AI assistant and dangerous actions like sending money or deleting repositories. Before the action goes ahead, someone specific has to approve it. It is meant for teams where an AI helps out but should never act alone on something serious.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only talk. An MCP server is a little helper program running next to your AI that adds a new ability. Here, Emilia Protocol connects your AI to a gatekeeping system called Gate. When your AI tries to do something big, this helper stops it and waits for a real person's sign-off instead of letting it just happen.

What this MCP server does

When your AI wants to take a sensitive action, Emilia steps in first. Your AI asks to pay a vendor or remove a file, and Emilia pauses right there. It tells whoever set the rule that a certain person needs to say yes. Only if that approved person signs off does the action continue. Anything else gets blocked automatically.

What you can do with it

  • Require a named approver before releasing a large payment
  • Block destructive commands until a manager confirms them
  • Bind approvals tightly to amounts, destinations, and dates
  • Reject repeated attempts to reuse an expired approval
  • Keep a tamper-evident log anyone can double-check later

Try asking your AI

  • “Send wire transfer number WIRE-88422 to Acme Supplies Ltd for eighty-two thousand dollars”
  • “Delete branch main-releases from our internal admin repository”
  • “Deploy version three-point-seven to production tonight”
  • “Issue refund RMA-55678 against order ORD-99231”

What it gives back to you

After asking, you typically receive either 'approved' plus a summary of what got cleared, or 'blocked' along with why it stopped. Approved items come wrapped in a compact digital note showing who said yes and precisely what they agreed to. That note stays around afterward so auditors or teammates can verify it themselves whenever they want.
