Oracle Cloud Pricing MCP server
by jasonwilbur
Lets your AI look up Oracle Cloud prices and estimate monthly costs for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Oracle Cloud pricing information. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI things like what a certain server size costs per month, and it will work out the numbers for you. It is handy if you are comparing cloud providers or planning a budget and do not want to dig through price pages yourself.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure pricing data, so when you ask about costs, the AI can look up real prices instead of guessing. You install it once, and after that your AI can use it whenever a pricing question comes up.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question about Oracle Cloud costs, like the price of a certain server or how much storage would cost. The AI passes your question to this helper program. The helper looks up the pricing data, either from a copy bundled inside it or straight from Oracle's public price list. It does the math for things like hourly and monthly totals. Then the AI shows you the answer in plain words in your chat window.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Look up the price of a specific Oracle Cloud server size
- Estimate the monthly cost of a setup you describe
- Compare prices between different server types, like Arm versus regular
- Compare Oracle Cloud data transfer costs against AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Check storage, database, networking, and Kubernetes prices
- See what is included in the always-free tier
- Get a quick estimate for common setups like a small web app
Try asking your AI
- “What's the monthly cost for a VM with 4 OCPUs and 32GB RAM on Oracle Cloud?”
- “Compare Oracle Cloud block storage tiers for 1TB of data”
- “How much would I save using Oracle Cloud versus AWS for 5TB of monthly data transfer?”
- “Give me a quick estimate for a small web app on Oracle Cloud”
What it gives back to you
You get back numbers and short explanations in your chat, like hourly and monthly cost totals, side-by-side comparisons, or a list of options with prices. The AI often shows the math so you can see how it got there. It does not change anything in your Oracle account; it only reads pricing information and answers.
