Umami Analytics MCP server
by mikusnuz
Ask your AI about your Umami website stats, visitors, events and reports in plain words.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Umami, the tool many people use to see how many visitors their website gets. Once it is set up, you can just ask questions in the chat instead of clicking around the Umami dashboard. It is handy if you run a website and want quick answers about traffic, without learning where every button lives.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It cannot see your website numbers or log in to anything. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one new skill, and here that skill is talking to Umami for you. So when you ask about your visitors, the AI asks this helper, the helper asks Umami, and the answer comes back into your chat.
What this MCP server does
You type a question about your website, like how many people visited yesterday. Your AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper logs in to your Umami account, either a self-hosted one or Umami Cloud, and fetches the numbers you asked for. Then it hands the result back to your AI, which explains it to you in normal words. It can also send events into Umami and run saved reports, not just read data.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- See how many visitors and pageviews your site got
- List your websites and their basic details
- Check which pages, countries or devices people used
- Look at events, sessions and realtime activity
- Run saved reports like funnels, retention or revenue
- Send an event or a batch of events into Umami
- Manage links, pixels, segments and shares
Try asking your AI
- “How many visitors did my site get yesterday?”
- “Show me the top 10 pages in the last 7 days.”
- “Which countries did my visitors come from this month?”
- “Run my signup funnel report for the past two weeks.”
What it gives back to you
You get answers written in the chat, usually as short summaries with numbers, like a visitor count or a list of top pages. When you ask for a list, it comes back as a simple table or bullet list you can read. Some tools also return raw details from Umami, such as event properties or session activity. If you send events or change something, it tells you whether it worked.
