JsonFabrica MCP server
by ms-methos
Let your AI create realistic JSON test data from templates, straight from your chat.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to JsonFabrica, a service that makes fake but realistic JSON test data. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to build sample customers, orders, or any other records and it will do it for you. It is handy if you write code or test software and need example data without making it by hand.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a little helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to JsonFabrica, so when you ask for test data, the AI can actually go and create it for you. You never have to open the JsonFabrica website yourself.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI for some test data, like twenty customers and sixty orders. The AI uses this helper to talk to JsonFabrica, which builds the records from templates you or the AI set up. The data comes back as JSON, which is just a text format for structured information. If you asked for a file, the AI can save it where you want. You get realistic sample data without typing it all out.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Create templates that describe the shape of your data
- Generate single records or whole batches of linked records
- List, update, and delete templates you have saved
- Manage sequences, like order numbers that count up
- Check your account usage
- Check that the connection to JsonFabrica works
Try asking your AI
- “Generate 20 realistic customer records and save them to fixtures/customers.json”
- “Make 50 orders that each link to one of the customers you just created”
- “Show me all my saved templates”
- “How much of my JsonFabrica usage have I used this month?”
What it gives back to you
You get JSON data back in the chat, either as a single record or a list of records. If you asked for a file, the AI writes it to the path you gave. Some actions, like listing templates or checking usage, return short summaries or numbers. When the AI changes something, like updating a template, it tells you what it did.
Before you start

- An API key from JsonFabrica (Settings, then API Keys)
- Node.js installed on your computer
- An MCP client like Claude Desktop or Cursor
Good to know
It can create, change, and delete templates and sequences in your JsonFabrica account, so double-check before asking it to delete anything.
Install it with your AI
Add JsonFabrica MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check JsonFabrica MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Developers and testers who need realistic sample data for their apps without writing it by hand.
