NexusFeed MCP server
by NexusFeed
Lets your AI check US liquor license records and LTL freight fuel surcharge rates for you.

This is a helper that connects your AI to two sets of public business records: US state liquor license databases and LTL freight fuel surcharge rates. It is handy if you work in logistics, compliance, insurance, or merchant onboarding and you often need to look up a license or a fuel rate. Instead of you hunting through state websites, your AI does the lookup and hands you a clean answer.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to NexusFeed, which pulls data from state liquor license portals and carrier tariff pages. Once it is connected, you can just ask your AI a question and it will go fetch the answer for you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like whether a liquor license is still active, or what the current fuel surcharge is for a carrier. Your AI sends that request to this helper. The helper talks to the NexusFeed service, which has already gathered the data from state ABC portals and carrier tariff pages. You get back a clean answer with the license status, address, expiration date, or the fuel surcharge percentage, plus a note about how fresh and reliable that data is.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search liquor license records in California, Texas, New York, and Florida by business name, owner, or address
- Look up a single license by its state-issued license number
- Check whether a license is active, expired, or suspended
- Get the current weekly fuel surcharge percentage for major LTL carriers
- See up to five years of fuel surcharge history for a carrier
- Audit a freight invoice against the published carrier tariff
- Run a compliance check before a distributor order or merchant onboarding
Try asking your AI
- “Search California liquor licenses for Total Wine and tell me the current status”
- “Look up license number 123456 in New York and show me the full record”
- “What is the current fuel surcharge for ODFL this week”
- “Audit this LTL invoice: carrier ODFL, invoice date April 1 2026, billed fuel surcharge 23.5 percent”
What it gives back to you
You get back a short answer in the chat, like the license status, the business address, the expiration date, or the fuel surcharge percentage. For fuel rates, you can also get a history table going back several years. Every answer comes with a small block showing when the data was pulled, how confident the system is in it, and a link to the original source so you can double-check. If something looks off, you can ask your AI to explain that block.
Before you start
What you need
- An API key from NexusFeed, which you get by subscribing on RapidAPI (there is a free plan with 10 requests a day)
- The uvx tool installed on your computer, or Python with pip if you prefer
- The Claude desktop app or another AI tool that supports MCP servers
Good to know
The data comes from outside sources and can be slightly out of date, so for anything important like a compliance decision, check the confidence score and the source link before you rely on it.
