Cursor Usage MCP server
by ofershap
Ask your AI about your Cursor team's spending, model usage and daily activity.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your Cursor Enterprise team's usage data. Once it is set up, you can just ask questions in plain words instead of digging through dashboards. It is made for team leads and admins who pay for Cursor and want to know where the money goes.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to your Cursor Enterprise account, so it can look up spending, usage and model data for you. You ask a question, and the AI quietly checks the numbers through this helper.
What this MCP server does
You type a question like how much did my team spend this week. Your AI reads the question and decides it needs real numbers from Cursor. It calls this helper, which talks to the Cursor Enterprise Admin and Analytics APIs using your API key. The helper sends back the raw data, and your AI turns it into a short, readable answer in the chat. You never have to open a spreadsheet or a dashboard.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Check how much your team spent this billing cycle
- See which team members are spending the most
- Find out which AI models your team uses most
- Look at daily active users and usage trends
- Review agent edit acceptance rates
- Set a hard spending limit for a specific user
- Get a full usage report for one person
Try asking your AI
- “How much has my team spent this billing cycle?”
- “Who is using the most expensive models?”
- “Give me a full usage report for the current billing cycle.”
- “Why is Bob's spend so high this week?”
What it gives back to you
You get plain answers in the chat, like totals, per-person spend, top model names and daily numbers. Some tools return lists, for example all team members with their roles, or a breakdown of usage per day. The AI usually summarizes the numbers for you and can point out anything that stands out. If you ask it to set a spend limit, it will confirm the change it made.
Before you start
What you need
- A Cursor Enterprise team with API access
- A Cursor Enterprise Admin API key (and possibly an Analytics API key)
- Node.js 20 or newer on your computer
Good to know
The API key gives read access to your team's usage data, and one tool can change a user's spending limit, so only connect it if you are allowed to see and manage that team's data.
Install it with your AI
