Cloudflare MCP server
by ofershap
Lets your AI list your Cloudflare domains, DNS records, Workers, KV and R2, and purge cache for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your Cloudflare account. Cloudflare is the service many websites use to run their domains, DNS records, and small programs called Workers. If you already manage a site on Cloudflare, this lets you ask your AI to look things up or make simple changes instead of clicking around the dashboard.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Cloudflare, so it can look at your domains, DNS records, Workers, and storage, and do a few things there when you ask. You set it up once, and after that you just talk to your AI like usual.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like "list my Cloudflare zones" or "purge the cache for example.com". Your AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper talks to Cloudflare using a special password called an API token that you gave it. Cloudflare sends back the answer, and your AI shows it to you in the chat. For changes, like creating a DNS record or deleting a Worker, the helper tells Cloudflare to make the change and then confirms it back to you.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- List your Cloudflare zones (the domains in your account)
- Show the DNS records for one of your domains
- Create or delete a DNS record
- List your Workers scripts, and delete one if you ask
- List your KV namespaces and read, write, or delete keys inside them
- List your R2 storage buckets
- Purge the cache for a whole domain or a specific URL
Try asking your AI
- “List my Cloudflare zones”
- “Show the DNS records for example.com”
- “Create an A record pointing to 1.2.3.4”
- “Purge the cache for https://example.com/page”
What it gives back to you
You get answers right in the chat: lists of domains, DNS records, Workers, KV keys, or R2 buckets, and short confirmations when something was changed or deleted. For example, it might say it found three Workers named api-gateway, auth-worker, and image-resizer. When you purge cache, it tells you the purge went through. It does not hand you files; it just shows text in the conversation.
Before you start
What you need
- A Cloudflare account
- A Cloudflare API token (a kind of password for apps; you create it in the Cloudflare dashboard and pick which permissions it has)
- Your Cloudflare account ID (for Workers, KV, and R2 features)
- Node.js installed on your computer, plus the Claude desktop app, Cursor, or VS Code Copilot
Good to know
It can create and delete real things in your Cloudflare account, like DNS records and Workers, so double check before saying yes to a change.
Install it with your AI
Add Cloudflare MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Cloudflare MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who already run a website or app on Cloudflare and want to check or tweak things by chatting instead of clicking through the dashboard.
