Omnicord MCP server
by OrygnsCode
Lets your AI run your Discord server: chat, moderation, events, and even build a whole server from a short brief.

Omnicord is a helper that connects your AI assistant to your own Discord server. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI in plain words to post messages, moderate members, or build out channels and roles, and it does the work through your own Discord bot. It is handy for anyone who runs a Discord community and wants less clicking around in menus.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app, and here it connects your AI to Discord. Omnicord runs on your own machine and talks to Discord through your own bot, so your AI can look things up or make changes there when you ask. There is no AI inside Omnicord itself and no company server in the middle; your bot token stays in a file on your computer.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like "post an announcement in the general channel" or "time out this member for an hour". Your AI decides which action to take and passes it to Omnicord. Omnicord talks to Discord through your bot, follows Discord's rules and rate limits, and carries the action out. For anything destructive, like deleting or banning, it first shows you a plain English preview and waits for you to confirm before it does anything. Then it tells you what happened.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Send, edit, pin, and schedule messages in your channels
- Build a whole server layout from a short written brief
- Time out, kick, or ban members, always with a preview first
- Set up AutoMod rules for spam, slurs, and mention floods
- Create and manage channels, roles, categories, and permissions
- Set up events, threads, forums, invites, and onboarding
- Read channel history, search messages, and check the audit log
Try asking your AI
- “Post a welcome message in the general channel and pin it”
- “Build me a small community server with a rules channel, a general chat, and a staff category”
- “Time out this member for one hour and tell me what you did”
- “What did I miss in the server today?”
What it gives back to you
You get back plain answers and summaries in your chat. For example, a list of channels, a short report of what changed, or the results of a message search. When an action is destructive, you first get a readable preview and a confirmation token, and only after you confirm do you see the result. It can also save server layouts as blueprints you can reuse later.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 20 or newer
- A Discord account and a Discord application with a bot
- A bot token from the Discord developer site (a kind of password for your bot)
- An MCP client like Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Windsurf
Good to know
It can change or delete things on your Discord server, so always read the preview before you confirm a destructive action.
